I'm tempted to say 64 but will stick with the others, 63. Nice coin, BTW.

    64, no FBL.

FBL is really hard to get on 1955 Bugs Bunny

AU level in my opinion. Looks circulated with lots of scratches on devices. If they are "slide" scratches, they are enough that I would think they lower the grade. JMHO

My God...that makes my MS65+ FBL look like a 67!

That coin must have been submitted by Heritage or another 'preferred' auction house to get a 64FBL from PCGS. If I had sent it to PCGS it would have come back as 62, maybe 63 at best - with no FBL. Especially if I had paid the extra designation fee. And that's why I no longer directly submit coins to PCGS.

    Well, I nailed the 64.

I will say, taking pictures of bell lines that accurately portray their strength is quite difficult. Maybe a different set of pictures would have led to different guesses.

Here is an NGC MS-64FBL that I used to own:

I think that MS-64 is too generous for this coin. My grade would be MS-63.

When I was dealer, the grading from Franklin Half Dollars was all over the place. I used to go though and buy the best pieces regardless of what the slab label said. Most of the coins really weren't worth enough to cover the slabbing fee. It seems as if coins that fall below the MS-65 level get some sloppy grading.
