not sure whats going on here

    is this some sort of strike through or post mint damage, WE kind of looks like a cud the left reverse wheat stock looks like there is an O in it what do you think would cause something like that if not a strike through? 20201029203158905.jpg 20201029203243502.jpg

    I initially agreed with "something acidic", though upon closer inspection the way the metal got moved around doesn't quite match acidic corrosion- or fire damage, for that matter.

    That thing just got seriously mangled somehow, is all. We'll never know how. It's more akin to a "parking lot penny", aka "roadkill". The damage is old, but damage it is.

    In other words, that is, as @paddyman98 would say, a DEFDAM. Definitely damaged.
