I have a 1946 Jefferson nickel struck on a thin planchet. The reverse of the coin also has a lamination error and it weighs only 3.4 grams. Any idea what its worth?
Looks like a harsh chemical exposure corrosion. Not struck on thin planchet but it looks like it actually had a Lamination error but someone ruined the coin.
Appears to be PMD as others have stated. The rim has been removed (by whatever means) accounting for the weight. Still, I would have been excited to find that.
