Maybe it took a hit from a 5oz. ATB. Do they have a reeded edge?

Took a minute but I found one on its side... they have an inscription on the side like a modern dollar coin

In that case, I'll fall back to my original comment. I don't think the coin took a hit from the reeded edge of another coin because they are spaced too far apart.

Just for fun, take 2 more images of the marks using florescent light to remove the glare. In one have the marks run vertical (N-S) and in the other horizontal. We should be able to tell if the "lumps are raised" on the surface as made or raised on the surface by being pushed up (reed marks).

PS if you cannot use florescent light, don't bother. In one of your images the "lumps" look raised coming out of the neck.

  15. PMD confuses me some say its damage after it leaves the mint aka not an error some say damage before leaving mint aka error so which one am I looking at?

  16. Its raised on the outer part towards liberty the rest is indent I hate pics they never come out right hope this helps

If the round lumps are INTO the surface it is damage from another coin. If the marks are raised, there should be a few more around and it needs to be slabbed as an error. Don't get your hopes up though.

    ANY "indent" indicates PMD.

  18. Thanks the outer part is raised the inner part is indented but damage from a coin dont make sense unless it was damage from 4-5 coins from the way the patterns are thats my thoughts anyways

There is no point taking any more photos with the light you are using. Others have told you the marks are most likely from the edge of another coin. The tips of each line on the edge of another coin most likely left those marks. Posting two identical images with the marks going north to south is not helpful either. Now, if you don't have a florescent light, turn the coin so the marks are east to west - horizontal in your photo.

Inner or outer is relative. Are the rounded lumps of the marks raised above the coin's surface?

If that coin was at the bottom of a bag of coins with a few thousand pounds on top I imagine another coin, or coins, could do that easily. Isn't it true the coin bags at the mint weigh many thousands of pounds?

Plain and simple.. Not an error nor a Cud.
Whatever made those marks was not during the minting process.
