...So, in other words, not that Adams. Roger (as in, Not John Quincy) that....
The engraving on the one of Lajos of Hungary makes me wonder whether, with his dynastic connections, and especially for higher denominations, he didn't have the dies shipped from France.
The zecchino of Franksih Achaia also made me sit up in my chair, for the level to which it has to be imitating Venetian issues. ...This late in the Frankish Greek series, but also while deniers with the French 'tournois' motif were still in production.

Terrific profusion of early AD dated coins, @tibor.
...Except, is it 'legal' to post these on a Tuesday? Someone else is going to have to give any kind of verdict, formal or not.

@+VGO.DVCKS. I don't understand. Do I need to remove the posts since I posted the coins on Tuesday?

Not at all! Just that there are people here, myself not included, who just mmmmMight tell you about not following protocol. ...This has happened to me, and I can tell you, from experience, that such people, if they do this, do so from the best motives. And, no less emphatically, with the best intentions toward you!

...On the other hand, @tibor, an alternative could be starting a new thread with them. ...I saw 'em; they definitely warrant that, if you cared to go that route.

It's Monday! Here are two common and sloppily struck coins from medieval Regensburg in Bavaria.

What do you do if you are a Bavarian duke and run a joint mint with your local bishop? You simply mint two types, one with him and another with yourself on the obverse:

MA – Deutschland etc., Regensburg, Emmerig 246.png
Regensburg, anonymous joint episcopal and ducal issue, AR pfennig, c. 1315–1374 AD. Obv: Head of duke above merlons, between H-O. Rev: Heads of bishop and duke facing within double arcade. 17mm, 0.84g. Ref: Emmerig 246.

MA – Deutschland etc., Regensburg, Emmerig 248.png
Regensburg, anonymous joint episcopal and ducal issue, AR pfennig, c. 1315–1374 AD. Obv: Head of bishop within arcade. Rev: Heads of bishop and duke facing within double arcade. 17mm, 0.90g. Ref: Emmerig 248.

Those are some of the nicest gold coins I have seen @panzerman! Just stunning, can't even select one that I like as all of them have such a nice eye appeal ...

Here is my recent contribution to this thread. I picked up this lot of Serbian/Bulgarian coins recently just for the counter-marks...
