Picked this up at the flea market today for a bargain price.

Ain't she a beaut??? Errr, I guess it's a he...didn't mean any disrespect, Mr. Franklin

All of the bell lines are there! In hand, the reverse has much more blue or purple toning than the pictures indicate...if you can see the bluish toning on the bottom over "Half Dollar", that's more representative of the overall tone.

What would you grade this one?? Just curious if my deal was as good as I think it was...

That is a beauty. Toning is gorgeous. I would say MS64 FBL. Nice pick up.

Great toning!! I like that type of scattered toning. I don't know what you call it- if there is a name for it. I don't collect these (because I can't manage my current collection), but will at some point.

I would say AU55 to 58 you asked why AU there"s wear on the obverse of the coin the hairlines the fields are scratched I think it;s a full bell The toning is moderate but nice for six bucks you did great ,the coin could go for maybe 20 bucks with the toning I would think

I can see no signs of wear, the the left obv fields have been lightly wiped. It's a toss up as to whether or not it would slab. I'd say the coin would be a 63 otherwise.

the seller had the audacity to actually grab the coin, so maybe that's when that happened...I was really shocked that he didn't take any care at all, even though he could see that I was very careful with it. And he knows his stuff! Really upsetting

But thanks for the opinion! It's my only (and therefore FAVORITE :hail: ) toned coin!

No, what I am looking at happened long ago. But based on what you just said, you may have a fingerprint develop soon.

= ( yeah I can see that the toning is over the wipe mark. If there's a fingerprint, I'm not going to be happy at all.

MS63. IMO there are too many contact marks on the obverse for 64.

    Very best regards,
