Hello all I know it is not a coin but I am sure if anyone can help it will be you all. I dont know what these are. Best description I can give is they are bronze , resemble a fish scale and have two posts on the back side that look to have been hammered down like a rivet would be. Almost like if it was attached to some kind of leather maybe ? Would anyone know here what it might be ? I found two of these things different sized my self metal detecting in Spain when I lived there and now I just saw two more available for sale that are different sized also with no description as to what they might be. I have one about the size of a US nickle and another about the size of a US half dollar. Don't see how the small one could be a fastener they do look a lot like a fish scale and makes me wonder if they were not some kind of scale armour on a leather type vest or something.
I bought the other two so now I have four of these and still know nothing about them They almost look like if you sould put them on a leather vest like fish scales as a sort of moveable armor. Anyone else have any idea?
