    Hi guys,

I have this 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny with cracks running across the obverse on this penny and a few die chips or flakes around the "T" In Liberty and on Lincoln's throat. 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (Obverse)-ccfopt.jpg 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (Obverse1)-ccfopt.jpg 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (Obverse2)-ccfopt.jpg 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (Obverse CloseUp Neck)-ccfopt.jpg 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (Reverse)-ccfopt.jpg Is this considered a lamination error?

    Yes.. It's a Lamination Crack.
Planchet issue on Lincoln's Head and others on the field. Interesting.

Yep, Lam, but the different lighting in the photos sure change how the coin looks.

Notice that laminations appear more frequently on woodies and line up with the grain. I always look closer at woodies. Nice find.
