I stumbled into a couple rolls of circulates 39, 40, 41, & 48 rolls of jefferson nickels. New to the grading aspect of the hobby and looking for opinions on how these might grade out, and of it's worth it. Are these FS? PXL_20201023_044521796.jpg PXL_20201023_044544253.jpg

These would not be worth grading. Not full steps either, quite far from it..

Full steps require uninterrupted steps. PCGS I believe allows 5 instead of 6 for the designation.

Google what full steps is- once you see it a couple times you should be able to stop it much easier.

    Have a good weekend!

Nice coins !! Don't waste money grading unless sending in BULK or the slab will be worth more than the Coin .

I more or less figured they wouldn't be worth sending in based on what I've seen, but wanted to be sure. Thank you all for the information!

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

You should try to get into the habit of taking your photos from directly overhead. Even the slightest angle can hide detracting marks that may affect the grade.

Thank you! I tried that at first, but couldn't capture the step details. PXL_20201023_044420851.jpg PXL_20201023_044410488.jpg

Welcome aboard. Thanks for posting the photos FULL IMAGE as it helps, but as Chris said above, photos from overhead with good lighting and cropped out superfluous background helps.

Welcome to CT. Nice coins but no cigar, sorry. Keep searching and posting, all will get better in time.

"Full Steps" is only an attribute. If the coins won't grade high enough, it won't matter.

Do check your '39s for the doubled "Monticello".
