Does anybody know about this on-line coin resource site?
They offer a years subscription to all of their on-line catalogues (and i guess general information/documentation) for $79. I am mostly interested in the world coin part, since U.S coin pricing guides are available elsewhere. Is it worth it?

That depends, the site contains all of the information contained in the Krause catalogs. The 5 volume set of books would cost you $310.

The advantage of the books is once purchased you have them forever. The advantage of site is that it is initially cheaper, but you pay to renew your membership every year.

The site is also updated very regularly with current values - the books are not. The only time the books have values updated is every 3 to 4 years when they put out a new edition.

So it's up to the individual which is the better wya to go. In the end, cost is about the same.

Thank you GD. I think i will go ahead and give this a try. The Krause Coin catalogues are very pricey in Germany, so it makes economic sense to me.
Also, my wife will be very pleased that less book-shelf space will be taken up by those bulky catalogues. I already have one small room also full of coin-related litterature!

    Regards,

    Eduard
