Definitely an unusual piece. I wonder if you posted a few of the pix on the error forum if you would get some other explanations. Strange looking though because it definitely looks like a layer has been plucked off the obverse. I would like to hear what the others eos say.

 

I know I just posted this the other day but figuring out my photo editor app for my phone/tablet a little more and more on the cropping, rotation and layout features. No post processing image enhancements on this one.
