The question is pretty general, but the real answer is: "The ones YOU want to collect."

If you are looking through circulated change, look for pre-1964 silver coins (dimes & up) and on pennies, look for wheatbacks (pre-1959) and any that have errors and pre-1959 for nickels (thereabouts).

As to paper, someone else will have to pipe up since I don't collect paper.
