:vanish: :secret:The reverse does represent her taking a poop she is doing some gardening so she's probably going to use her poop for soil :eating:that's what the designer wants use to relize what a SHI____________:stooge:____________work of art I always hated that coin even without the poop design Jazz
What happened to the date?? The obverse has a huge empty space on it? Are they going with edge lettering on these?
I agree with most of the above comments. I really wish I could develop some designs for the blighted dollar program! I especially dislike the (horribly) informal use of "$1" for One Dollar on the coin. This really helps give it a token-like look. . . . don't get me started about the bad looking lettering on the president series dollar coin! At the end of the day, I'm not down on the dollar coin. I want to see one be successful! It would be a useful denomination.
Don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. They haven't had a successful $1 coin in the entire history of our nation.
I actually like it  I had to buy one from eBay just a few minutes ago because it is quite nice - finally a good looking American coin without those eagles and other stuff like that. Only thing I want to complain about is the obverse, which looks very out of balance now without the date and mint mark.
It could happen but not the way they are doing it. They need to revamp the entire line of coinage and add a new dollar, 2 dollar and 5 dollar coins, and perhaps make them real silver clads, or even bimetal faces. That would likely do it. Of course it would help to remove the dollar bill. Ruben
All it takes is a little patience. Just let these coins circulate for a while. They'll turn green on their own, that is IF they ever make it to circulation.
My daughter has a friend who works in a bank and there has been some discussion within that organization about removing the dollar bill. Seems that this particular bank is giving out a lot of two dollar bills to get people ready for a change down the road. How handing out a $2 bill in place of two $1 bills is going to change peoples habits and decreases dependence on the single is beyond me....you're still feeding peoples dependence on paper. If you'd just slip 'em a few of these new Sac's and when they complain tell 'em "oh, sorry, we're fresh out of singles. Have to give you these pretty little Indian maiden coins". Pretty soon folks would get used to it.
I agree that it looks strange without the date and mint mark on the obverse. As far as an eagle being on alot of our coins, well, its pretty much for the most part, the way its always been and probably will continue to be. The Eagle is a symbol of America in alot of different ways, so they put it on American coins. Personally, I'd rather have some representation of an Eagle on our coins than what these "artists" are coming up with.
That's really upsetting. I hope this coin turns into the 2 dollar bill and disappears from circulation.
