This auction house, Emporium Hamburg, has an upcoming auction. Have the forum members found any questionable coins in the catalog? In June of this year several members alerted the forum about many coins in that offering. The auction company withdrew several. I don't collect ancients but I thought the members here could alert fellow collectors. Thank you.

I won't do business with them - the damage their fakes have done to the market for terminal LRB / Gothic coinage is unforgivable.

Totally agree. I don't know who might want to buy something from an auction house that notoriously including multiple obvious fakes in practically every sale. Yes, they remove some fakes when the community asks, but what happens with less obvious ones? It is not an incident but clearly a policy, unless you believe they are totally blind. So my policy is not to support their business.

I went to the web site in the OP just for a look see. It turned me off. It looked like a slick operation like HSN or the Littleton Coin Co. They care more about appearance than their coins IMO. I'm all about the coins, not a worthless collectors box and fluff. Maybe they have a good deal hiding in there someplace. But I'll go elsewhere for my coins. Plus the fact they have a number of fakes turns me off.

They lost a potential customer who is willing to spend thousands of dollars over time.
