rookie

    about a month and a half ago my mother gave me a small bag of coins some wheat pennies and a few mercury dimes.so i decided to start collecting.since then i purchased a few different coins i liked,then i bought 3 rolls of old pennies off ebay and found an indian head,several steel cents,and i think lots of key dates and this:yawn: p2.jpg

    p1.jpg needless to say IM HOOKED:D

    Very cool..... I would suggest you keep buying from the same person it seems his rolls aren't searched..... which is very rare....

    I wouldn't bet that they're not searched. I suppose that would depend on how much the buyer paid for the rolls.

    Hi Rookie and welcome to CoinTalk, if you have not done so allready I would sugest that you pick up a copy of the Red book :D you will find it a extreemly useful guide. Great find you have there as well :bow:

    thanks everyone,yes i did get a copy of red book,and by the way i paid 8 dollars a roll was that a good buy?i also found this but dont know what happened to the last 1 p1.jpg

    It looks to me like a possible 1901/0 overdate. None of my reference guides list it, but that may be good for you. The$e may be rare!!!
