Just got through with 45 pounds of pennies looking for the "close and Wide AM's " and found several "wheaties" and this 1940 clipped Planchet error , Notice the "Blakesley" effect . That's a few bucks I didn't have, lol.
Yes.. I left in 2005 from the Philadelphia Mint after 20 years as a equipment mechanic. I learned so much.That does not occur during the minting process. Impossible. I miss working at the Philadelphia Mint.
I have 26 pounds of cents and when the snow hits I plan to go through them and sort by decade and then mint. I believe I have about 50/50 between wheat/memorial cents.
