Been a while, huh?! My laptop broke, but I'm back with an even worse camera than before! Well, I decided to jump in with a recent coin roll find since I was in the area, so here you are! One 1973 Woodie with a retained piece of copper slag right in the face! Too bad these are the best photos Imma have for a little bit. I'm working on getting a new cam tho, so don't worry! Soon, you all can see the cool little find I got myself!
I see the Wood grain pattern on the Obverse. Improperly Mised Alloy is the proper terminology for it. Nice find. I'm not to sure about a retained copper slag?
I am currently working on getting a better cam, but I'll crop the photos really fast, and see if that helps.
Agree it looks like a minor "woody". The spot looks like staining/corrosion/environmental damage, not an inclusion.
Perhaps. It looks a lot better in person though. I'll have to save my opinion until it I have a chance to get my scope up.
