Double Eared Lincoln Cent

A member asked me about their Lincoln cent . If it was a Doubled ear error . I looked but just couldn't tell . I later researched and found this great example :https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/5...re,as depicted by the arrow on Lincoln's head.

That's a popular doubled die coin. It's even listed in the Red Book.

Wow that's good to know . It seems the coin has to be in relatively in nice condition to be able to tell.

 

you can buy them cheap on ebay i bought mine for $20or maybe i got lucky

 

What year ? That is cheap.

 

The 1984 DDO is easy to spot.

 

I looked at most and that is definitely the easiest .

 

i bought 2 1984 double ear

 

soon im buying the 1997 double ear
