My guess is that it won't reach $200K.

Price will be determined by the person that will want it the most. IMHO it will sell for at least $500,000 simply because there are so few available and there are more collectors with "money is no object" out there. All you need is at least two with those financial resources who want bragging rights. It's kind of like pro sports owners, many of who just want bragging rights among their rich "friends". Because of the rarity, and a coin with "details", this should be fun watching the bidding even if we will no doubt never know who actually wins the bid. How many of us who collect Lincolns wish we could own a bronze 1943 cent, but it will never happen. We can dream though, right?

These coins are not as expensive as you might think, especially in a “details” holder. I voted $100 to $200 thousand and think that it will be on the lower end of that.

Normally I would agree with that assessment, but these are not normal times.

I only buy coins like this in pairs, so if another one isn't available, I pass. :)

I'll give it a go at right at $200,000. The person who buys this won't care about the details grade.

At least the owner's going with a high end Auction house . Rather selling on Etsy .

$80,000 to $100,000. I would prefer a set of well centered 1943-P D S cents struck on Mercury Dime planchets. Or a P D S set of 1944 cents struck on zinc coated steel cent planchets.

If I missed anyone that also bid low besides @paddyman98 he lives in York and I am sure it ain't cheep to do that.
Just wanted to say that the coin posted does not have much eye appeal.
Any one have a photo of the reverse?
It will be interesting to see the market on this variety. I believe that the Philly has the most examples.

@johnmilton what is your opinion of the reverse?
I am going with an old dip, and re tone. The reverse looks just like the obverse.
