I'm sorry, other than you and a few others here I don't know any females into coin collecting but then again I only see it in my family or friends.. How about someone mad at someone?
Not to make a big deal about it sir, and I understand your assumption based upon population profiles at most coin shows, but women have had a huge influence on this hobby. One of my favorite coin series, Byzantine Anonymous bronzes, was first sorted into correct order and published by a fine lady, Margaret Thompson. The author of one of the most definitive books on ancient references is female. The current head of ANS is female. While the rank and file of coin collecting may be overwhelmingly men, there has been excellent contributions to the hobby by women, and continue to be. I would love it if half of all collectors were female, since I feel they give this hobby a different perspective which is healthy, like @TIF and @DonnaML here.
round damage? maybe put on the bottom of a chair because the foot fell off. But then, who knows for sure unless you are the one that used it for something like that.
