As of this moment the FUN Show is a go! Unforeseen circumstances (big uptick in the virus, FL Government decree, etc)) could change this. Masks will be required, temps will be taken each time you enter the hall, hand disinfectant will be at each table, etc. Cross your fingers.
I have never been to a FUN show and I DO want to attend at least one. Same thing for a Central States show. But until a proven vaccine has been developed, it's a "no go" for me.
I wish I could go, but without the wife feeling safer to take the kids on airplanes, it would be a no-go for me as well. I am looking forward to a vaccine to make my wife feel better about things.
I COULD go....but it might not be the same if the CT crowd doesn't show up. So hopefully everybody chimes in..... I
I don't think crossing your fingers will help much, but I'm pretty sure holding your breath is definitely recommended by one of the Three Letter Bodies.
I've never been to Central States, but I've heard its a good show. I try to go to FUN as often as I can, and I've always enjoyed it.
I want to walk the floor and buy buy buy. Not setting up a table. But here are some issues I foresee: 1. They may enforce one customer at a table at a time, which is going to be either impossible to enforce or too frustrating for me to handle as a shopper. 2. Masks may be required the entire time you're on the bourse floor, and a whole bunch of folks are either going to defy that or get thrown out. 3. Related to numbers 1 and 2, the coin community in general seems (to me) to have many non-believers in Covid, anti-vaxers, and conspiracy theorists who rail against Gov't control, mandates, and "stupid rules." It is my belief that this will exacerbate the problem. There will be a bunch of non-compliant dealers and collectors there, and Florida, especially the Orlando area remains a hot spot for the virus.
I'm not familiar with the economics of this show, but I would think if you get 20-50% cancellations by dealers (who tend to skew older) that it might not be economically feasible for the sponsors of FUN to go ahead.
I do not plan to attend but would like to see the results. If it is still a go for showtime and date circumstance will tell... Good luck
#3 seems likely given the comments on similar threads over at NGC. As such, it would be a wasted trip, because I would walk right out the door.

I predict show security will be completely overwhelmed with their tasks vs the sheer number of non-compliant folks.
I could be wrong but I think most attendees will follow the rules even if they think they are unnecessary and/or burdensome.
