1979? anyone can get one of those....it's he '81s and '99s that are hard.

There's a different variety for the 99 SBA coin the date is close to the rim that;s the one that is worth a nice premium look for that one in ciculation,

Yes it;s called wide rim near date variety here is one example. The one to the left is the normal rim the one to the right is the wide rim variety

I know there was a lot of the SBA made and most still come back to you in change as a Quarter.

 

That has happened to me a few times to, or when i go to use them as a dollar the cashier thinks it is a quarter, til I point out that is a dollar, lol.

I thought that was too obvious to need to say. I read a little resentment in posts like that. I pulled it from change a few years back and thought it was a nice example from circulation. Every post doest have to be a $10,0000 beuaty.

Maybe you want to talk about the SBA? The Susan B isn't polished. I've found I have to have a special rule for conversations with you. I limit our conversations to discuss trivialities or coins which value less than ten dollars.

Sorry, Ruben, I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just confused. You post a circulated common coin with no other comments than the title "1979 from Circulations". To me, it seemed as if you hit the post button without the rest of text.

I couldn't figure out what you were trying to get through to us, the readers. If you're posting for yourself, fine. But public forums are for discussions, and I just didn't get it. To me, it was a common coin (I see those fairly often), and not a pristine example at that. If the text was "Look what I got in change; the cashier thought it was a quarter!" then I'd understand the reason for the post. Or if was a comparison between two coins, but it's just the one, circulated, SBA.

Sorry, your post just didn't make much sense to me.

They maybe be common numbers wise, but I haven't been given an SBA in years. I've spent them....

Heck, I've only been handed one silver coin in my life. A Mercury dime. I'm 33 years old and grew up California. We never got cool coins where I grew up. A wheatie was rare. I've never been handed a Kennedy either, kind of sad.:crying:

 

You haven't been rude, I've just grown a thin skin about this because Hobo is rude. But it is what it is. Its an interesting circulation find. It seems for some discussing nice examples of recently circulated coins which are worthy notoray is just to painful your their snippy view of the hobby.
