Just think of those years as just a number. Ilet last year's bd (70) really haunt me. But it came and went just like all if the others. I have fought the wright loss thing myself mainly because of heart related issues. I quit drinking, I changed my diet, started riding a bicycle and even some strength and mobility exercises. I lost 30+ lbs. But it was difficult to keep losing. I can say this, it's more about diet than exercise. You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet. I've averaged about 1800 miles/ yr on my bicycle. I just hope you can reach your goal and get the prize. My goal was to get to 200 and I still have about 20 lbs to go.

Congratulations. I’ve been bad lately but still under 210. Hoping to break 200 myself wasn’t the journey for me as you a high of 230 and consistently 207-8 lately

Congratulations!!! Wow, I just read this post from April and you've done an amazing job :) As was suggested earlier, I would get a really nice Fugio or something you want like crazy and get a great coin yearly (or every 6 months) to celebrate your anniversary of staying under the 200 mark. Very impressive indeed. You're inspiring.

Congrats all! Oddly, I'm just seeing this post literally the day after pulling out a pair of 36" waist jeans to see if they'd fit. I'd noticed my pants had been sagging on me a bit and went back to my med portal thing to see that I was at around 260lbs a month or two before the Covid lockdowns started. Used to go out for lunch every day -- not any more. Used to go out evenings 3-4 nights a week with the wife and have 5-6 IPA's and assorted bar food, watch sports -- not any more. I weighed in at 231 yesterday. I haven't intentionally 'exercised', but have been doing much more yard stuff etc. while holed up at home, so there is that. Interestingly, even if the virus was gone tomorrow, I don't think my habits would revert back.

@Dimedude2 .... I applaude your effort and wish you the best! Keep the carrot dangling and you will get there. Just remember your health and well being is the true carrot.

Edited to say congratulations and reaching your goal! Good job!

A good rule of thumb is "you can't exercise your way out of a bad diet". IMO, diet is the true key to weight loss. I bicycle as much as 2000 miles/year and don't lose weight. Counting/watching my calorie intake was very instrumental in my weight loss of 40 lbs. The real hard thing is to stick to a diet that fuels your exercise and still healthy to help lose weight. For a year plus now, my diet has faltered and so has my weight loss, but I am managing to hand around 220. It is a plateau that I hope to get past.

Hang on for the Fugio...the green stuff can be conquered if it hasn't damaged the coin.

    Hello -
I am at 194 lbs, 87 lbs lost and looking for an awesome Reward/Christmas gift. I was looking at Draped Bust dollars, either 1798 or 1799, maybe VF. Does anyone have advice or expertise on these? I saw a few on site and from a dealer I really like, and they go in the $200 to $2500 range.

This was quick. Great job. I hit 250 range for a brief time and decided it was too much a couple years ago. I've gradually come down to where I hover around 220. I get down to 217 once in a while but it's like now I'm at resistance. It isn't lowering anymore. I would love to be at 200 which according to todays charts they say is still overweight for me. Now you're motivating me too. lol

Those are nice. Try and find one with original skin and no major distracting marks. There’s a lot of problem coins even in slabs of these
