I am guilty of being very critical of my own coins. That's OK, because I don't sell them. That will be my "next of kin's" problem to deal with..... Yes, I do believe the fields my very well be indicative of an early strike. These days I have graduated collecting larger denominations because even with readers on it is difficult for me to focus properly on smaller coins these days, so some details elude me these days.

I'll go again.. A less circulated 1929 P Buffalo nickel with a consistent well preserved luster and mild toning. None the less, signs of circulation exist throughout. The obverse strike is weak as can be observed in the relief of the feather, motto and date, adjacent to the rim, and the lack of minor details in the hairline but is overall clear and legible. The portrait is overall free of distractions except for some strike marks above the hair dressing. The reverse fields are exceptionally free of distractions and has only minut bag marks on the body of the bull but suffers a weak relief and nick at the rim in the 4 o'clock position and some contamination within the legend. I estimate value at $17-20 raw and $40-55 graded. IMG_20201012_095847.jpg IMG_20201012_104912.jpg IMG_20201012_104826.jpg

The scope does that. I just don't feel like setting up my Nikon.

Ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure, a 2016 P harpers ferry NP quarter.
This coin is in circulated condition. please note on the obverse the rim cud running from the K4 to K6 position. largest rim cud I've ever bore witness to without it being a full fledged cud, much larger than the CU-25c-2016P-01 (HF) Rim Cud listed on cuds-on-coins.

I value this coin at priceless, or $15.00 since one sold for $15.00 on July 30th on ebay with the one bid and that's the only one of it I've seen for sale. and it was similar circulated condition. either way. hahahaha
Pictures are from a galaxy S5, I'm not a photographer.

I saw the tip earlier today about putting the coin on a cork so the camera doesn't focus on the background. Gonna give that a go!

You can also try zooming to crop out the backround. That will force focus on the subject. There should also be an aspect ratio setting. I suggest using 1x1 , square ratio. Works like a charm...
