http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ndexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting The little toning on this coin really makes liberty stand out (in the pictures). Is this a natural look or is this a little photo shop do you think? Also do you think it's overgraded based on the reverse? Very weak strike and some "good" marks on the obverse. Despite it's flaws, this coin really looks nice to me. If it is a common look I may wait around for a different one.
Looks pretty normal to me. If I collected peace dollars I'd consider bidding on it, but remember, the price difference in a MS63 and MS64 for a 1922-s is over $200. It goes from about $80-85 for the 63 to $300+ for the 64. So bid carefully.
There's other problems with that listing: - The reverse is not shown. - The label/slab is not shown and that's in violation of eBay rules. Don't bid on it; REPORT IT!!! - Because the label is not shown how do you know it's not a ANACS "DETAILS" coin. Stay very far away from that one. I can see the seller saying, "You didn't ask."
What are you looking at? I see the reverse, I see the slab, and I see the label. And, no, it is not a details slab. Try this page; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260339452987&indexURL=0#ebayphotohosting
I don't know if it just the photos, but the luster on that coin looks very flat. I think it would make a nice album coin.
It does Kanga, but it is a slide show. You have to click on the buttons to get it to show the other pics. I would pass on that coin if it were me.
It could honestly look better in hand. Pictures can have the opposite effect and look better in the hand than on the bay.
Thats a 64?.....Some real nasty hits on the reverse. Think I have one much better with nicer toning if thats a 64 mines a 67.
