We have the last of the national park quarters for 2021 but there are rumors of a new standard quarter coming out also, does anyone know what's coming since google won't give a straight answer?
I sure hope they don't have another commemorative series honestly. We need something iconic that can stick around.
One of the possibilities would be a new reverse design based on Washington's Crossing of the Delaware coupled with the reverse from 1932-1998. https://www.coinworld.com/news/prec...on-2021-and-beyond-quarter-dollar-design-pick
I'm glad this series ends next year. I just got my order in for the 2020 Proof & Proof silver sets and buisness quarters before they raise the prices like I saw mentioned in a post yesterday. Next year is my last with the Mint. I getting too old for their nonsense.
There was something in Coin World about this a little while back. There is some thought of replacing Washington with a woman. Another series might retain Washington but change the reverse every year for a while. Sorry my memory fails me on the details.
Here's a link to the other thread and the Coin Word article. What's proposed: A few years of historically significant women. A few years of "youth sports" A few years of "sports participants with disabilities"
And then....they'll will decide the fate of the current design for the century celebration of the Washington Quarter.
This question just keeps coming up. Right now the obv will revert to the 1932 Flanagan design and the reverse will be Washington crossing the Delaware (This has been in the law since the State quarters were authorized back in 1995). The rev design has already been selected. The proposals mentioned by Lakeffect in post #8 HAVE already been passed by the House but as far as I know no action has been taken in the Senate
Commemorative quarters for each of the 3 Stooges including Joe Bessel and Curly Joe DeRita. That was be 6 in one year - perfect, it’s settled!
@Conder101 I've driven thru RT 95 in Delaware...you could almost see that happening. I like that one and the new one with Rocky & Bullwinkle
