After countless hours and months, I cannot comfortably say that I recognize if any of the pennies I have in the photos are small date. They are certainly not in the best condition, I’d just like to at least be able to recognize one if I saw it. I appreciate the insight.
One quick way to tell is look at the nine. The bottom of the upper loop points down to the mintmark on the large date. On the small date it veers sharply inwards towards the 7
On the large date, the top of the 7 is not even with ( it's below) the top of the 9, as is the case with yours. On the small date, the top of the 7 is even with the top of the 9. Yours are all large dates.
If the diagram, above, doesn't help you tell the difference between the large and small date, then you should stop looking for them.
