A Lincoln cent double die such as the 1955. Is that considered a mint error or a variety? I have a voucher for coin grading with PCGS and it says not good for mint errors so I am wondering If I can submit a coin like that with a voucher?

It's a variety. But there will be an equal number of people tell you it's an error.

Thanks. Guess I will have to check with PCGS to see what they consider it since I want to use that voucher.

PCGS has it in their Numbering book as Coin number # 2827 Dbld Die Variety.

Thanks Jim. I got to go through that book that I got with that collector's club package. Sounds like I can use it. Thanks!
