I thought forum members would find this video interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAQv6qmGcis&feature=related
you KNOW that at some point, one of those guys has to have dropped and/or touched the surface of one of those coins....You can't grade 11 million + coins and not flub somewhere. you would think that they would take every precaution!
I posted this video a few months ago. And somebody probably had posted it before me. Worthwhile of being up again though. Good video. I'd like to see NGC come out with one.
I'd like to see one where they sneeze, dropping a High Relief St Gaud MS 69 on the floor which then rolls across the room, and down the hall before it clanks into a wall and spins like a wobbling saucer until it stops, and then gets picked up with bare hands and stamped MS62. Then CUT to a picture of the same coin with a gold CAC sticker on the slab. Ruben Ruben
it makes me think. pcgs is brave enough to put up that video, and I saw how they treat the coins. I wonder how the other grading services handle the coins they grade. I bet sgs graders have their mcdonalds happy meal next to them at their desk.
LOL good one but this shows you it might be better off in some cases not to grade. They really don’t care what they grade it and if they mess it up. I bet that was the only time a camera was watching them grade. I'm shocked they did over kill with the gloves and all to make them look better.
ROFL Great minds think a like. I was going to note that it is then stomped on the hallway by the cleaning service. Ruben
