Well here are the extensive results i promised to publish on how to remove verdigris. Results may vary so use it at your own risk

    I used Biox.

    i used the following metals

Gold- Yes gold can develop verdigris. biox works well no problems just drop the thing in nothing to worry about. a few drops did the trick. only had one such coin ( gift from the original great collector) so sample size is small

Quartinery alloy- again works like a charm a few minutes and you even get rid of the nasty patina which in these conditions is a good thing

Silver- works here too again no problems with a bit of an overnight bath

Nickel- Again no problem although some coins darkened color and i still have 2 pieces where it wont leave.

Copper Nickel - Can cause some fading so keep an eye out

Old copper - works like a charm in few minutes for moderate strains for biox resitisnt stains it will ruin your coin i lost 2 coins but no complaints even though they were keys i had 30 keys given by the great collector

Aluminium - for the love of god dont do it. it reacted very badly to a couple of coins i tried

Brass- still awaiting results bt prime facie it looks solid

    Stainless steel- Again no problems

Point to remember dont create a bowl and drop several coins at once and do nt reuse the liquid even though the bottle says it ok to do so. Allright now thats all i had hopefully this post will benefit some of you dont have before after pics working on assimilating more than 5000 coins in my collection.

This is spock and you been assimilated. :D

Thanks. I am getting an 1908-s IHC that has a couple of small spots on it. Now I have an idea of what to do to remove this.

be careful copper is as bad as alluminium try and practise on inexpensive coins ( pocket change) first

Yes Spock I found it very useful, and just for the fun of it, I'm going to try the same thing on some common coins that I have just to see the results myself. :) Thanks again. :D
