Any one know how quickly proof and mint sets usually sell out?

I'm asking cause I want to but the clad proof, silver proof, and mint sets from the mint this year, and possibly more for gifts, but don't want the S+H charges each time. The clad proof set came out on March 3, the mint set comes out on May 31 and the silver proof on June 7. Anyone have any advice as to whether I should start buying right away, or wait awhile (possibly screwin' myself if they sell out) just to save $5 S+H per order each time?

You should be fine by waiting to get them all at once. I have never known them to sell out that quickly. But hey - anything is possible.

Should be no problem waiting until the last is item you want is issued. The rest will still be there.

Yes the 2004 Mint sets sold out but just not untill this year...

If you only want a few I would buy them at a dealers.

The 2004 proof set DID sell out early last year and a great number of folks who usually buy them for Xmas presents were left out in the cold! I would recommend purchasing what you want no later than mid-October as after that, with the mass popularity of the new nickels, the proofs may be gone. Hope this helps.
