I have the hardest time figuring out TYPES of any year even with the Lincoln Variety Summary right in front of me. The attached 1988-P does not appear to be a TYPE-5 to me. The A and the M are too thick in the important spots. Comparing it to the summary's example it doesn't match up very well. T example may be a poor one but it's the only one. The A and M match up more closely to the TYPE-4 in my eyes. Also the initial "G" looks thicker in the vertical leg. The narrowness of the G's curve also looks more like a TYPE-4 than a TYPE-5. So HELP ME PLEASE understand which type you think it is.
