Hi. http://www.cointalk.com/forum/members/pre_decimal/albums/181/3508.jpg I know it is not the best image, but unfortunately it is all I have access to... From what you can see in the image, would you agree this is a ½ REAL 1652 transitional based on the two dots above the VLTRA ? What would be the approximate value of this coin in this condition ? Thanks for any advice! Martin.
OK, help me out here. What mint do you think issued this coin ? I can't find any with the pillar & waves designs and cross potent from the time period you are saying it may be from. Especially not in the 1/2 reale denomination. What size is this coin ? Weight if you have it.
Potosi. Size is average ½ to 1 real size. It could be a 1 not a ½. Sorry no weight available... Would you agree pillars appear to read: - | . | . - | VS | ? T | R | A FYI, this is the group: http://www.cointalk.com/forum/members/pre_decimal/albums/181/3509.jpg Thanks.
