Nice they will only be 3x more expensive than what the coin is worth in a normal slab.

You mean their more than the original ? They should be the same cost seeing how much they charge . I like NGC and ANACS . Easy buy , easy sell ,. I have more ANACS than PCGS . Is NGC to follow ?

Are you guys buying coins or buying plastic holders?

    Sounds like they're buying security.

I think the security holder makes tampering more difficult. Is it a major criterion for my personal coin purchases? No, but it is a step in the right direction. I own several coins in the new holders, and I do applaud PCGS making efforts to minimize fraud.

Sounds like extra work, but if they're faking slabs I don't see an alternative.

I'm the "buy the coin..." type. While nothing against third party, the new security features are a definite plus on highly counterfeited or high dollar coins. I'd seek them out if called for.

Buy the coin, not the holder.

If the slab is more expensive than the coin, the coin's probably not worth much.

Besides I like the extra assurance that I'm getting a genuine piece. ;)
