Is it possible to get the whole coin plus a better close up ? Probably just an ole die chip . either that or look at this site :http://cuds-on-coins.com/die-chips/
No sorry and I appreciate your help. You have any other suggestions on how to take the picture? Should I take a picture and then blow it up ?
Looks like damage but possibly a die chip ie chip — Die chips are small, isolated chunks of metal that break away from the die, usually in the middle of the coin away from the rim. A die chip on a coin appears as a raised mound of metal, and these die chips can range in size from very small to quite large. Most die chips are less than 1 millimeter in size.
I actually just inherited quite a bit of coins I was just trying to separate them in year and get them organized for my grandchildren and came across this one and didn't know where to put it. So it's probably not worth anything though right
here, try this Utube Video. I hope it works, fingers crossed. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...4C629EB093F7AE94735A4C629EB093F7AE9&FORM=VIRE
Absolutely not a die chip. Only PMD. The mm suffered a hit that pushed the metal up after it left the mint, as others have said. Copper is a soft metal and can get banged up pretty easily
