Is this a first ? I rarely look at currency, but happened to catch this on 2017 bills. I never noticed any other treasury secretary's signature that was not cursive. Hmmm ?

I mean to me? Looks like a 2017 signature... what specifically do you think is different about yours?

I didn't think mine was a stand alone note, I know the 2017 notes all have the same signature. I was curious as to whether Steve Mnuchin is the first to have his name printed out instead of a cursive signature.

Again... you should keep it... that specific bill... it’s in crisp condition... unless of course you don’t care for it

Secretary Mnuchin’s signature to my knowledge, is indeed the only printed signature on American currency since the changeover to small-size notes in 1928.

Some have complained that Mnuchin having printed his signature lacked class but after the literal scribbles of his predecessor (Jacob J. Lew), I think it is very nice to have a legible Secretary of the Treasury signature appearing on currency. It's actually the most clear signature (at least in my view) since the days of Secretary Robert E. Rubin of the 1990's.

No. That is just his signature. He just doesn't sign in cursive. Perhaps he doesn't know? I sure don't :)
