    I was going over my wheat penny collection last night and came across this one where I cannot distinguish the year and was wondering how to proceed from here? Can it be appraised?

    Dateless wheat cent. Worth 1 cent.

    You could try to get some of the rust off by soaking it in acetone...

    Is this coin magnetic? Looks like a 1943 steel cent, in my opinion (with the rust/environmental damage).

    @Myiarchus : It's a 1943 steel cent. Not worth getting appraised.
    Based on your username, I'm guessing you're a birder?

    In the future, what you need to do is crop out all of the unnecessary background, resize each image and then select the "Full Image" option to post your photos.
