I want to start by saying Thank You. I know that I ramble when I get a buzz, and gosh probably said some things that I would like to take back, I appreciate all that keep this site a valuable site dedicated mostly to coins.

Oh by the way I found this one in pocket change.

    What do you grade it?

    I agree with 63.
Cash only in restaurants, everything else, CC.

At the gas pump I use CC, all else less than $20 I use cash. Greater than $20 CC.

I usually use my debit card, and save my cash.

A 63 I think, not bad for the age. I use a credit card for gas and groceries. Every month I pay it off. Everything else, cash.

Cash is king. Use card at fuel pumps. On road when I need to keep track of business expenses. Usually food and many other things the good green stuff

I was using cash more before COVID hit.

I've got four (skunk) rolls of halves that I need to remember to spend at the self-checkout machine. Forgot again tonight. :(

I was nothing but cash up until covid. I now have been using my card more than 50% of the time. Gonna slowly get back to cash.

You may want to consider using a CC rather than the debt card.
    If it gets compromised?
Its easier for the CC company to make it right and less hassle for you.

I used to be Cash all the time.
But then I got one of those 2% cash back cards. Slowly I started using it for more and more. Then with Covid basically 100% CC.

I’ve never been more than 50% card. Other than fuel. When it became prepay and I want to fill it I use the card. I do use cash when there’s a discount for it. Which a fair amount of the big truck stops do. I use cash for a great deal of personal purchases that aren’t online but use card for the majority of business purchases

When I go to a coin show, I take some cash-$300-500-and when I strike a deal, I ask any better deal for cash? If not, then I use CC. Never use debit card. Got rid of debit card several years ago.

I use cash at drive-up windows such as for fast food, because I can't see what they do with my card. I mostly use CC for everything else that takes them. I don't own a debit card because of the greater hassle if one is compromised or if there is a mistake. Yes, if there is a problem, the bank will probably make it right. But you still have use of your money while they settle a problem with a credit card. With a debit card your money is gone until and unless they correct it.

I gave my wife $100 for purchases about 2 months ago. She was heading to Wal Mart this AM and I asked her if she needed cash. She told me that she still had the $100 I gave her 2 months ago. I look at my credit card account at the Credit Union every day to check for irregularities. So far, no problems. I do see $2 and $5 purchases and other low amount purchases on the credit card. I don't think she knows how to use cash anymore.

For years I was almost exclusively cash and never spent the change. Just dumped it in a pile. Still have it. Then I realized my credit card paid me to use it so that's what I did starting a year or two ago. I pay if off a couple of times a month just to make me feel good. Now I only use cash once in a great while at my local gas station as they give 5 cents off for cash.
