Hi Below is one of two morgan dollars I got about 10 Years agot for $5. I will post the 2nd one also.

What do you think? there's some toning on the top and right over her ear. I do what I can with the camera on my galaxy S5 phone.

I guessed it at about MS60, lots of marks on it, but not wear.

I agree that it may be MS. Not sure if that scratch under UNUM would be bad enough to get it a details grade. It would be helpful to see images with more evenly diffused light.

This is a common date in an unexceptional grade. It's certainly worth more than $5, though. :)

Hard to tell from those pictures, but it does look like there is no visible wear. MS 60 would be a good guess. I would be slightly worried its been cleaned, but i would need some cleaner pics to determine that. Common date, worth $30-$50, not bad if you go it for $5!

From those pictures, it appears to be MS details, as I see evidence of a cleaning. $30 seems reasonable. It would most likely not straight grade.

I feel like it was dipped at some point before I got it, because the toning it does have is like kind of dark and like dead center of obverse, and sort of "ring around the coin", just kind of funky dark toning while I'd think other areas should be showing some toning to some level also for it to look like that. it's scratched and dinged up but the details are there. it is what it is. LOL

jeffB, the mark behind the cap is like a contact friction mark or something, it looks like the rim of a coin was against it and it kind of slid around there a bit, like"bag marks" maybe, theres a couple spots, it shows up with this lighting well, but it's less noticeable to the eye, here it looks like someone wrote on it with pencil. :)
no idea if that makes it "details graffiti" to them. I won't be sending it for grading though. I've looked for a VAM but it's got nothing special going on to my eyes. there's a lot of marks on it in general though, nothing "deep" but a lot of contact in my opinion, maybe some counter slide also.

it was a steal even a decade ago when the guy were offered them me so I grabbed them.

Nice looking coin but questionable if would straight grade. That scratch and a possible cleaning would hold it back. It is s common date in a better than common grade and it's certainly worth more than the $5.00 you paid for it.
