Struck at Heliopolis in ancient Syria (Currently Baalbek-Lebanon), the following coin has Philip I on obverse. Tyche is heading left on reverse with standard before her, and cornucopia behind. It is thick and weighs 19.73 g. and measures 27 mm. The similar coin shown on Wildwinds weighs 14.8 g. with 30 mm. of diameter. They list it under Lindgren 2164 und consider it rare. Please post your comments and coins of Heliopolis, if you like.

Nice Tyche. I don't think I've seen one quite like that one before. She's got very pronounced "Venus rings." That's those lines on her neck. Those were considered beautiful in ancient times, but not today. (I like 'em though!)
