Additional Info: I dug a bit deeper to see what coin this could be... the closest year I got was 1989...
The Obverse is raised because the metal flows into the void of the broken die. The reverse is a weakness that results as the opposite side is affected. That is a negative Cud.. (I just made that up)
Both sides look lower to me. And the edge is curved but straight. Can't say I've ever seen a cud like this so trying to understand. A negative cud. That's new but I like it.
If you go to cuds on coins they will often have the progression and the early states will have a year. You want to match the edge position EXACTLY to confirm it's that specific coin. Unfortunately a lot of work to go through all the possible years.
I searched at cuds an coins... and that is why I said its a 1989... because there is vartiaty called CU-1c-1989-01
Similar but that's not it. And it's just a reference number not a variety. Cuds are mint errors and there is a difference.
