I have been getting the ATB Quarters from the mint in the P D S pack that comes with the quarters packaged in CAPS capsules. I cut the capsule out and clean the edges and pop them into a blank CAPS Album Page. The project has gone just fine until I started on 2016 today. Sometime in 2016 the US Mint changed the size of the capsules. Now they don't just pop in. They are too small and fall right out. Then, in 2017 they completely changed the capsule. It doesn't even resemble a CAPS capsule. And, they won't pop in at all. So, I can't finish my project as it was going. I have to back up 10 yards and punt. See some photos below for a visual display of half a project. I was looking forward to a nice album of the ATB's instead of all those little packages.
I figured a way to continue. I want the obverse to face away from the main page. The new capsules will snap in but the coin facing the wrong way. So I get 12 new capsules to finish 2016. And, then I open the mint capsule and flip the coin over. Then they work OK. There is a flange that rises above the page but that is OK.
Looks like a great display. I personally really like the ATB series. Can't say I "hate" the mint though. So far so good with me, but I have very limited exposure with them.
Looks like you've got your hands full, as well as the table. The mint is all about costs. They don't care about anything else. No real thoughts about the coins, or what their customers want.
