    Hello Oldschool57

    Welcome to CoinTalk!

Unfortunately both your Pennies are not Die errors.
What you are seeing is circulation damage. We call it PMD - Post Mint Damage.

I call it DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged coins :yack:

Mr. Ed - Specializing in collecting Mint Errors since 1985.

    DEFDAM 0 - Code Green - you have yourself a circulated coin there chappie . . . .
DEFDAM 1 - Code Yellow - scrapes and abrasions, but we can tell what it is . . . .
DEFDAM 2 - Code Orange - we've got a dryer coin here folks, borderline parking lot.
DEFDAM 3 - Code Red - major road rash, hard to identify country of origin . . . . .
    DEFDAM 4 - Code Black - are you sure this is / was a coin . . . . . .

    Coin #1 is a DEFDAM 3.6
    Coin #2 is a solid DEFDAM 3.0
