Hey everyone! I got a beautiful N-12 (Die crack obverse) 1854 Large Cent a while back and never got the chance to share it with you. All grades and comments are welcome!
Somewhere in the VF-30/XF-40 range I would say. I really like the die crack. Significant die cracks are to me like colorful toning is to other people. Only difference is that die cracks don't raise the price of a coin, and often lower the price.
Genuine VF35 to EF40 Brown The photo looks Genuine VF35 to EF40 Brown & I like the coin. It has been noted that the coin lacks luster which might be consistent with my VF35 to EF40 guess. The close-up photo shows some small corrosion spots hidden in the Liberty. Is it possible that this cent was chemically cleaned years ago & has re-toned? Very best regards, collect89
Nice coin Ryan. XF details in my opinion. Love that die crack - I do not know how it was cleaned. Almost like something left a residue on it. Still nice coin.
I would say the coin is AU, however I suspect it was cleaned and has since retoned somewhat, but it may just be the photo. Copper is very one of the harder things to grade from photos IMO.
I'd say a solid 40 on details, net 35 with minor issues. I don't think it's been cleaned, the photo just looks horribly overexposed. It's a nice looking copper. The crack is neat.
I'm gonna say its a toss up between VF-35 and XF-40 it certainly is a nice looking coin regardless of the grade.
