With the free shipping, ok. You could have purchased the entire 1962 proof set for about $15 or less.
I've already got the proof quarter and dime from 62 for about $4 total and I'm not big into anything past 60 if it's not silver. I know I dont have a picture of the reverse but what do you think about the coin itself? I think it's a scan.
It is a scan and I really can not see any details. Looks okay and I hope it works out. I was just mentioning in the ebay thread how I skip auctions without good pictures - I just hate to pay return shipping. I might miss some decent auctions, but I think it keeps me from more bad auctions than not. I got burned once and that was enough.
I almost paid 15 dollars for the same thing but i lost the auction so i got really lucky. you can probably tell i'm not very experienced with buying franklins.
its not bad for a proof. You can fish in Proof sets but most sets don't have good examples of individual coins because people break them out. Enjoy your coin. Ruben
yeah. i am really starting to like the franklins. I have a few unc. examples from the 60s. i'm attending a coin show on jan 4 so i hope i can find some at good prices.
One of the hardest to grade they say. I assume it's because of the things that make them so appealing. Of course you know what they say about assuming :headbang:
My worst mistake was almost a thousand times worse than that. I was about eight years old and I had a steel cent (1943 S) and I cleaned it . I recently discovered that the S was doubled, and I could not find any documentation of a coin like this. I was told by a dealer that if in fact it was the first one, it could be worth as much as I wanted to sell it for. I went to a show where PCGS had a stand and I talked to the president of it, Ron guth, and he thought that was absurd. He proceeded to find the same exact coin on eBay for $5 so I really dodged a bullet there.
Oh, my bad. It's polished lightly. And it probably makes AU now that I'm looking at it. I got the Franklin yesterday and it's really nice.
Sorry I know this is an old thread but here is a picture of the coin if anyone cares. http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/d298c1520b6b44828b9ba14267affb32 http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/53349c2966234272b2d8d545ef7225e2
