I have a little container of world coins that I know nothing about. So I need your help identifying them. :smile And if any are made of silver. And values. :D

Nice mix of coins you got there Garrett.
None is silver AFAIK and most of them have the names of the country written on them.

    OK
The 1st coin is from Mexico
    Next 3 are from Barbados.
    Next 5 are from Russia.
Next 2 coins are from Mexico again.
Next one is a British Penny.
    The bimetallic coin is Colombian.
    5 Pfennig is German.
Kuna and the Lipa denominated coins are from Croatia.
Next 2 coins are from Cyprus.
Double headed eagles is a Russian 5 Rouble.
The aluminum one is a Japanese 1 Yen.
And the last one is a Korean 10 Won coin.
You can look up the details of each coin in the link I provided.

This will solve your problem instead of posting all those coins and taking awhile to download on my computer

For Russian coins, feel free to check my page: http://www.gxseries.com/numis/rus_new_type/1992_2007.htm

MMD stands for Moscow Mint and SPMD stands for St. Petersburg Mint. Most of them are common except for some excessively rare years and mintmark combination. Nice find, for some reason I found the 1997 1 kopek, both Moscow and St. Petersburg mint to be a bit tougher to find than the others.

    These photos are massive man.

You could have taken one photo of them all together and it would have been just as good.

Umm, I realize that country names such as "Republika Hrvatska" or "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" may not be familiar to everyone (looking them up takes about as long as posting a reply here). But inscriptions like "Barbados", "Canada", "Colombia" or "Cyprus" should be somewhat more obvious. :p

Hope you did not get deterred. :D Some of those inscriptions I find hard to read too; Latin characters are OK for me, and Cyrillic to some extent, but for Arabic, or anything from China, Japan, Thailand ... I would have to ask as well. As for the size of the pictures, if you primarily want to know where a coin is from, somewhat smaller pictures are fine because they take less time to load. My Internet connection is pretty fast but while other topics load almost instantly, there is a noticeable difference with this page. In my opinion large images (and yours are good) make sense primarily when it comes to judging grades or errors, ie. when it's details that count.
