this is a tough one. I am not sure this is a tall date. With the date position and repunching under the one it looks like N-5 to me but I cannot really see any reverse markers to confirm this.
Thanks for the responses. I have the same problem ID'ing these coins. Some of the PUP's are so fragile that if the coin isn't MS they have disappeared. And based on Tom's images I don't see it as a Tall Date.
looking closer at reverse I see some lumps on the E in cent that are in the right spots. Also a faint line connecting the top and bottom of same E. N-5 seems right to me. Interesting that PCGS botched the Tall Date designation.
Really have to look close for even a guess. My decision, according to mozzillo's chart, is medium. The 6 appears to be straight up rather than tilted, this is the reason for my decision. Thanks for the post and thanks to mozzillo for the chart. Be safe
Thanks for keeping at it. Now I can complete the picture. The question now is, can I get NGC to redo the label? I've already got a slab being redone by them because they botched the face value on a foreign coin.
