A friend unexpectedly sent these notes to me. A very nice Christmas present . The Obsoltete Bank of America note is an 1860 and is an unissued gem and the $20 is a 1929 that has seen alot of circulation but I love those Federal Reserve Bank Notes no matter what shape their in............................. John

 

In the bottom of my stocking (thank you Mrs. Claus)... look out coin sellers, I've got the "big" bucks and I'm ready to spend!

I pleaded with my wife to give me something numismatic this year instead of sweaters, socks or ties. I still got the sweater and the ties, but i also got a "voucher" for a (moderately priced) coin of my choice! what a wife!

Before she surprised me that gift, i had "taken the precaution" to buy myself this:

Not a perfect example- the obverse has some spot of red corrosion, and the reverse is moderately pitted, but still a nice, pleasing example.

I got this (2008 ASE) from my sister-in-laws husband (not my brother, figure that out!).
My only numismatic gift from a relative I have not met yet.

great gift in exellent contition, it doesn't have any little spots or high point nicks like many ASE,s . At least that I have found yet.
