Goal is 200 for the end of the year. I have bought out every shop within a hour hour radius of me so things are starting to slow down
There were holders for some of the Texas commemoratives but they werent issued by the American Legion Texas Centennial Committee. The only distribution holders that ever seen/owned were 1 and 3 coin cardboard boxes (in silver, white or blue) with blue velvet inside. The inside of the box is stamped with "Compliments of Col. E. H. R. Green." Green hoarded Texas coins until his death in 1936. Aditionally, the 1936-1938 Texas Centennial Coins were also sold by the Texas Memorial Museum Committe as a fundraiser and I have had their Coin Committee envelopes with the coins having been shipped in green Dennison coin holders, tucked inside of the envelopes. Those are the only original distribution packaging I have seen for the Texas coins.
Mike, thank you for your information and description. I will keep my eye out, though I know it's an extreme long shot to find one of the packages.
You're welcome! I have found them before but it takes a lot of looking. If I see any I will let you know. But they arent cheap; however they are original.
