I had a coin I ordered from the mint go missing. One day a neighbor down the street marched his son to my front door to return the coin. The kid took it from my mail box. Twenty years later, the kid and his dad are still good friends with me.

 

As an odd aside, today my office mail carrier came in and asked permission to hang a “help wanted” sign on my company message board. He told me the post office was so short handed that they would hire anyone right now. Don’t know if that is local or not.
